Wat Tha Ka Rong

Wat Tha Ka Rong was situated on the river bank just north of the confluence of the Bang Kaeo waterway and the old Lopburi River stood in an important strategic position in wartime, as next to an important dockyard, it also controlled the northern water route. Wat Tha Ka Rong is situated 150 metres east of Wat Khangkhao.

The city of Ayutthaya was founded by King Ramathibodi I in 1351, though it is likely to be significantly older, based on evidence showing that the area was already populated during the Mon Dvaravati period. Historic City of Ayutthaya is situated 2 km southeast of Wat Khangkhao.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya Historical Park, Thailand, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island. It is one of Ayutthaya's best known temples and a major tourist attraction. Wat Chaiwatthanaram is situated 1½ km south of Wat Khangkhao.
