The Mont Mégantic Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated jointly by the Université de Montréal and the Université Laval. Founded in 1978, the observatory houses the second largest telescope in Eastern Canada after David Dunlap Observatory near Toronto. Mont Mégantic Observatory is situated 1½ km west of Refuge du Col-des-Trois-Sommets.
