Estadio Francisco Sánchez Rumoroso is a multi-purpose stadium in Coquimbo, Chile. Currently, it is mostly used for football matches. It is the home stadium of Coquimbo Unido. Estadio Municipal Francisco Sánchez Rumoroso is situated 4 km west of Peñuelas.

Mohammed VI Mosque

The Mohammed VI Center for Dialogue of Civilizations is a mosque in Coquimbo, Chile. The structure is a replica of the Kutubiyya Mosque in Marrakesh and was funded by the Kingdom of Morocco and the municipality of Coquimbo, being named in honor of king Mohammed VI of Morocco. Mohammed VI Mosque is situated 3½ km west of Peñuelas.

Coquimbo is a city of 257,000 people in Northern Chile. Coquimbo sits on a peninsula, triangular in shape; the old sector of the city is to the east of it, on an extension of land, long and narrow in a north-south direction, at about 10 m above sea level.
