The Kronberg is a mountain of the Appenzell Alps, in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden, located west of Appenzell and north of Säntis. Its summit, which features a restaurant, is at 1,663-metre-high.

At 2,501.9 metres above sea level, Säntis is the highest mountain in the Alpstein massif of northeastern Switzerland. It is also the culminating point of the whole Appenzell Alps, between Lake Walen and Lake Constance. Säntis is situated 4 km southeast of Nusshalden.

Schwägalp Pass is a high mountain pass in the Appenzell Alps between the cantons of St. Gallen and Appenzell Ausserrhoden in Switzerland. The pass is named after the Schwägalp peak on the north face of Säntis. The pass road has a maximum grade of 12 percent. Schwägalp Pass is situated 3½ km southwest of Nusshalden.
