Dia is a small town and seat of the commune of Diaka in the Cercle of Ténenkou in the Mopti Region of southern-central Mali. It is situated at the western edge of the Inland Delta floodplain, and is watered by the Diaka, one of the Niger River's major distributaries and the only permanent watercourse in the region. Dia is situated 5 km west of Dakawel I.

Koubi is a village and seat of the commune of Ouro Guiré in the Cercle of Ténenkou in the Mopti Region of southern-central Mali. The village lies on the north bank of the Diaka, a branch of the Niger River that flows only when the river is in flood. Koubi is situated 7 km northeast of Dakawel I.
