Grotta Gigante

Grotta Gigante, also known as Riesengrotte or as Grotta di Brisciachi, is a giant cave on the Italian side of the Trieste Karst, close to the village of Borgo Grotta Gigante or Briščiki in the municipality of Sgonico. Grotta Gigante is situated 470 metres southeast of Grotta presso il Soccorso.
Miramare Castle

Miramare Castle is a 19th-century castle direct on the Gulf of Trieste between Barcola and Grignano in Trieste, northeastern Italy. It was built from 1856 to 1860 for Austrian Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian and his wife, Charlotte of Belgium, later Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico and Empress Carlota of Mexico, based on a design by Carl Junker. Miramare Castle is situated 4 km west of Grotta presso il Soccorso.

The Temple of Monte Grisa, officially the National Shrine of Mary Mother and Queen, is a Roman-Catholic church north of the city of Trieste. Located at an altitude of 300 metres on the edge of the Karst Plateau above Barcola and Miramare Castle, it is a most conspicuous landmark. Temple of Monte Grisa is situated 2½ km south of Grotta presso il Soccorso.
