The Paris Observatory, a research institution of the Paris Sciences et Lettres University, is the foremost astronomical observatory of France, one of the largest astronomical centres in the world, and the world’s oldest observatory still in operation. Paris Observatory is situated 480 metres southeast of Valensi-Chardin.

The Catacombs of Paris are underground ossuaries in Paris, France, which hold the remains of more than six million people. Built to consolidate Paris's ancient stone quarries, they extend south from the Barrière d'Enfer former city gate. Catacombs of Paris is situated 620 metres south of Valensi-Chardin.

Raspail is a station of the Paris Métro, serving Line 4 and Line 6 in the 14th arrondissement. The station is now fitted with platform screen doors, due to the Line 4 being fitted for automation.
