Galleria Ataköy, the first modern shopping mall in Turkey, is situated in the western suburb of Ataköy, Istanbul. It was built following the recommendation of then Prime Minister Turgut Özal, who was inspired by the shopping mall Houston Galleria in Houston, Texas, United States. Ataköy Galleria Shopping Mall is situated 140 metres northeast of Bakırköy Sahil station.

Carousel Shopping Center, opened in 1995, is a modern shopping mall located in the Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. The shopping center with its 76,500 m² area has 117 shops, fast food restaurants, cafeterias, an entertainment center, and movie theaters. Carousel Shopping Center is situated 640 metres northeast of Bakırköy Sahil station.

Bakırköy railway station is the main railway station in Bakırköy, Istanbul. Located 12.6 km west of Sirkeci station, the station was serviced by Istanbul suburban commuter trains as well as TCDD regional trains to Kapıkule, Çerkezköy and Uzunköprü. Bakırköy railway station is situated 1 km northeast of Bakırköy Sahil station.

It is a working-class area on the European side of Istanbul, Turkey, on the shore of the Marmara Sea just outside the walls of the ancient city, beyond the fortress of Yedikule. Zeytinburnu is situated 3½ km northeast of Bakırköy Sahil station.
