Saltburn is a railway station on the Tees Valley Line, which runs between Bishop Auckland and Saltburn, via Darlington. The station, situated 12 miles 57 chains east of Middlesbrough, serves the seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, in North Yorkshire, England.

The pub dates back to the late 18th century and is the oldest pub in Saltburn as it was part of the old fishing village before the town was developed on the other side of Skelton Beck, upon arrival of the railways in the area.
