Dunedin railway station is a prominent landmark and tourist site in Dunedin, a city in the South Island of New Zealand. It is speculated by locals to be the most photographed building in the country, as well as the second most photographed in the southern hemisphere, after the Sydney Opera House.

Dunedin, called Ōtepoti in Māori, is the main city of the Otago region and the second-largest city of the South Island of New Zealand. Archaeological evidence shows Māori hunters have stayed in the area from about 1280.

The Exchange is an area of central Dunedin, in the South Island of New Zealand. The area was the original heart of Dunedin's CBD, although that has now moved north to an area around the city's central plaza and George Street, which leads north from it.
