Valley of the Temples is one of the most important archaeological sites in Sicily and a major UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located just outside the city of Agrigento, this vast park preserves the remains of the ancient Greek city of Akragas, once one of the leading cities of Magna Graecia.

The Temple of Olympian Zeus in Agrigento, Sicily was the largest Doric temple ever constructed, although it was never completed and now lies in ruins. It stands in the Valle dei Templi with a number of other major Greek temples. Temple of Olympian Zeus, Agrigento is situated 200 metres east of Porta V.
