Our Lady of Compassion Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Upton Park area of east London, dedicated to Our Lady of Compassion. Catholics in the area had previously worshipped at chapels attached to schools in the area until the church and its parish were both established in 1911.

St Martin's Church is a part of the Church of England on Boundary Road in Plaistow, Newham, East London. It was built in 1894 as a mission church, with the foundation stone laid on 28 June that year by Henrietta Pelham-Clinton, Dowager Duchess of Newcastle and widow of the 6th Duke of Newcastle, who also funded the opening of St Thomas' Roman Catholic Church in Woodford the following year. St Martin’s Church, Plaistow is situated 430 feet south of Danny’s Barber.
