Wimbleball Lake

Wimbleball Lake on Exmoor in Somerset, England, is a water supply reservoir constructed in the 1970s and completed in 1979. The 161 feet high dam is of concrete buttress construction and impounds the River Haddeo to provide a water storage capacity of some 21,000 megalitres over an area of 374 acres. Wimbleball Lake is situated 1½ miles west of Cuckold’s Combe Bridge.

Clatworthy Reservoir is situated near Clatworthy in the Brendon Hills on the edge of the Exmoor National Park in west Somerset, England. It is run by Wessex Water and has a capacity of 5,364,000 cubic metres, supplying some 200,000 homes. Clatworthy Reservoir is situated 2½ miles east of Cuckold’s Combe Bridge.

Skilgate is a village and civil parish 5 miles east of Dulverton and 8 miles west of Wiveliscombe in Somerset, England. It has a population of 96. The parish, which covers an area of 866 ha, straddles the boundary of the Exmoor National Park lying on the southern edge of the Brendon Hills, and is close to the border with Devon. Skilgate is situated 2½ miles south of Cuckold’s Combe Bridge.
