Irbid is a city in northern Jordan, some 88 km north of the capital Amman. Archaeological evidence reveals that Irbid has been settled since the Bronze Age.

Aydoun is the name of a city in Irbid Governorate in Jordan. Some writers associate the town with the ancient city of Dium, one of the cities of the Decapolis, but this is disputed. It had a population of 63,244 as of 2018. Aydoun is situated 2½ km southeast of ألبان ناجي.

Irbid Camp is one of the 10 officially recognized UNRWA Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan. It is located outside of Irbid. It was one of the four camps founded in Jordan to accommodate the refugees of the 1948 Palestinian expulsion and flight, the others being Jabal el-Hussein camp, Al-Wehdat refugee camp and Zarqa Camp. Irbid camp is situated 3½ km north of ألبان ناجي.
