Coveñas is a resort city and municipality located in the Sucre Department, northern Colombia. It was established in the 16th century as a port for slave traders, then it became an oil port in the twentieth century. Coveñas is situated 8 km southwest of Hotel Playarena.

Tolú is a small town in Costa Norte region of Colombia by the Caribbean sea. It is a rather gritty and impoverished town with a murky beach, but the coastline both north and southwards from town is much more pleasant.
