Corato is a town and comune in Italy. It is located in the Metropolitan City of Bari, Apulia, in southeastern Italy. Founded by the Normans, it became subject to Alfonso V, king of Aragon, at the end of the 15th century, and later to the Carafa family. Corato is situated 7 km south of Trani.

Bisceglie is a south Italian town in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, in Apulia. Home to about 54,000 people today, it was established by the Normans in the 11th century, although historians believe there was an earlier Roman settlement at the same spot.
