Lofoten is a group of islands in the northern part of Norway. With its postcard-looking small fishing villages nestled in fjords dotting a very rugged coast with abrupt peaks rising directly from the ocean, the archipelago is often described as one of the most scenic parts of Norway.

Finnmark is Norway's northernmost county, well within the Arctic circle. It is the largest county in Norway by area but the smallest by number of inhabitants. Finnmark is the northernmost part of mainland Europe, as well as the easternmost part of Norway.

Nordland is a county in Northern Norway. Nordland has an endless and very rugged coastline with thousands of islands. Further inland there are high mountains, glaciers and plateaus.

Troms is a county in Northern Norway. It is an area of big islands, jagged mountains, deep valleys and long winters. Tromsø city is the northern lights capital of Norway and northern lights hunters often travel around the county and even into Finland in search of the magic light.
