Port Hedland is an industrial port in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, with a population of 15,471. It exports iron ore from the mines inland, with huge freight trains bringing the ore to the docks.
Karratha

Karratha is a city in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, with a population of 17,013 in 2021. It's entirely modern, built from 1968 to house mining and port workers - Dampier is the port.
Karijini National Park

Karijini National Park is in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It's a long way from anywhere, but worth the journey for its spectacular deep red canyons, gorges, and bushwalks.

Onslow

Onslow is a port in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, with a population of 848 in 2016. Its main trade was historically wool: there's also salt extraction and natural gas but this has never been a big mineral port like Dampier or Port Hedland.
Murujuga National Park

Murujuga National Park is a national park in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It's home to more than one million images on rock, making it the largest collection of Aboriginal rock art in Australia as well as the world's densest – some of them dating back 47,000 years.
