Rhyd Ddu

Rhyd-ddu is a small village in , which is a starting point for walks up , , and the Nantlle Ridge. It lies on the A4085 4 miles north of , at its junction with the B4418 to and . is one of the stops on the Welsh Highland Railway between Caernarfon and .

Rhyd Ddu is a station on the narrow gauge Welsh Highland Railway, which was built in 1881 as the North Wales Narrow Gauge Railways Moel Tryfan Undertaking to carry dressed slate to on the LNWR.
