San Gimignano is a pretty medieval walled city in , , famous for its historic centre with beautiful towers and great art. It is small enough to be effectively visited as a day trip from nearby cities like and , but it has a different, more peaceful atmosphere at night that many travelers find it worthwhile to experience.

The Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta or Duomo di San Gimignano is a Roman Catholic collegiate church and minor basilica in San Gimignano, in in central Italy.

is the tallest tower in San Gimignano, standing at 54 m high. It is one of the most iconic and well-known medieval towers in Tuscany. The tower was built in 1310.
