Santa Barbara County
Santa Barbara County is in California's Central Coast region. It is sometimes considered the northernmost part of Southern California. Although it shares excellent weather, Mission-style architecture, and beautiful beaches with the rest of Southern California, the Santa Barbara area is physically remote, and has more of the laid-back attitude of the Central Coast.Essential Destinations

Santa Barbara is a city and metropolitan area less than 100 miles from Los Angeles but vastly different in pace from its huge neighbor to the south. With a temperate climate and lush natural environs, the "Riviera of the West" is a pleasant day or weekend trip from L.A.

Santa Maria is a city in Santa Barbara County, California, United States. Located on the Central Coast of California, it is approximately 65 miles northwest of Santa Barbara and 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
Solvang

Solvang is in the Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County in Southern California. The city is Danish-themed as if it were the Danishland section of Disneyland, since it was founded by Danish immigrants and quite a few Danish descendants live here.

Buellton is in the Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County in Southern California. Located where US Route 101 crosses the otherwise inaccessible Santa Ynez Valley, most travellers to the wineries of the valley pass through Buellton. Solvang and Santa Ynez are nearby, also on Highway 246, and Los Olivos is another nearby city in the valley.

Los Olivos

Los Olivos is a small community in the Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County in Southern California. The area is home to many highly-rated wineries, and with many well-maintained, low-traffic rural roads, also has some of the best bicycling routes in the region.
