Santa Tecla

Santa Tecla is a city and a municipality in the La Libertad department of . It is the capital of the department of La Libertad. The city was named after Saint Thecla who was a saint of the early Christian Church, and a reported follower of Paul of Tarsus in the 1st century AD.

The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen is a catholic parish church in the city of Santa Tecla, La Libertad Department, El Salvador. It was completed in 1914 in a neo-gothic style.
