Ennis

Ennis is the county town of County Clare in Ireland. It's a market town with several historic and religious sites. It also has accommodation and other visitor amenities, and is the public transport hub for the county. In 2022 its population was 28,000.
Burren

The Burren is a large area of northern County Clare, in the west of Ireland, with karst landscape - a great bare limestone sheet sculpted by water action.

Shannon is a town and airport in County Clare in the west of Ireland. The airport came first, as a stopover for early transatlantic flights, then an industrial zone and new town grew beside it.

Doolin is a small community in County Clare on the west coast of Ireland, with a population of about 300. The main attraction is the Cliffs of Moher, and it's also an access point for reaching the Aran Islands and The Burren.
Kilkee

Kilkee is a small town in County Clare in the west of Ireland. It was the seaside resort of Limerick in Victorian times, when wealthy merchants families retired here for the summer season, and built the many substantial summer houses that are now small hotels and guesthouses.
Killaloe

Killaloe is a village in County Clare and was the birthplace of Irish hero Brian Boru. It's on the west bank of the River Shannon, and in 2022 had a population of 1700.
Lahinch

Lahinch is a small seaside resort in County Clare in the west of Ireland. In Irish it's An Leacht, "the peninsula" and also known as Leacht Uí Chonchubhair, "Cairn of O'Connor" for the chieftain slain at Dough Castle.
Kilfenora

Kilfenora is a tiny village in County Clare, with a population of 150 in 2022. It's the most northern of a string of little places, also described here, as the road leaves the low country at Corofin and climbs the valley through Kilnaboy and Leamaneh.
Milltown Malbay

Milltown Malbay is a town in County Clare on the west coast of Ireland, with a population of 900 in 2022. Also spelled "Miltown", it's best known for its traditional Irish music, with a week-long summer festival.
Bunratty
