Naxos is the largest in the Cyclades island group in the Aegean Sea and was the centre of ancient Cycladic culture. The most fertile of the Cyclades islands, Naxos earns much of its income from agriculture.

The Cave of Zas, or Cave of Zeus, is an ancient Greek cave located on Mt. Zas on the island of Naxos. The cave was occupied from the Late Neolithic to Early Cycladic III periods.

Apeiranthos or Aperathos is a mountainous village on the island of Naxos in Greece. It is located 28 km north-east of the capital of the island, built on the foothill of mountain Fanari, on an altitude between 650 and 700 m.
