New Bedford

New Bedford is in Massachusetts on the southern coast. New Bedford's excellent harbor made it a natural fishing and whaling center. It was the world's premier whaling port in the 19th century, and, for a time, "the richest city in the world" and "the city that lit the world" because of whale oil production.

In the SouthCoast region of Massachusetts, where the Taunton River empties into Mount Hope Bay, stands Fall River- the "Spindle City". Not to be overshadowed by nearby Boston and Providence, Fall River offers visitors unique attractions that are absent from its two larger neighbors.

Fairhaven is a town in Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States. It is located on the South Coast of Massachusetts where the Acushnet River flows into Buzzards Bay, an arm of the Atlantic Ocean.

Somerset is a small town in the SouthCoast region of Massachusetts. It is built on the western bank of the Taunton River, connected by bridges with Fall River and sharing a border with Swansea.
Freetown

Wareham

Wareham is a town in Massachusetts at the head of Buzzards Bay. Wareham calls itself "The Gateway to Cape Cod" and is sometimes included as a Cape Cod town. It includes the villages of Onset, East Wareham and West Wareham.

Rochester is a town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 5,717 at the 2020 census. Rochester is a part of the South Coast region of Massachusetts which encompasses the cities and towns that surround Buzzards Bay, Mount Hope Bay and the Sakonnet River.

Mattapoisett is a charming town along the southern coast Massachusetts with a large harbor on Buzzards Bay. Its name is thought to come from the Wampanoag native word for "resting place". It is now a classic small coastal town.
Swansea

Swansea is a town near the mouth of the Taunton River in Massachusetts. Swansea is a local retail hub, with businesses lining its central artery, Grand Army of the Republic Highway.
