Dobrich

Dobrich is a city in the north-eastern corner of Bulgaria, and the heart of "Bulgaria's granary", the fertile Southern Dobruja. With a population of just under 72,000, Dobrich is the 9th largest city in the country.

Silistra is a city on the Danube in North-Eastern Bulgaria, in the corner where the short land border between Romania and Bulgaria meets the river. Nearby is the Srebarna Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Targovishte

Targovishte is a city in north-eastern Bulgaria, on the border between the Danube Plain and the foothills of the Balkan Mountains. A relatively green and quiet provincial city that sees few international tourists, it can be a pleasant rest stop when travelling.
Razgrad

Razgrad is a city in North-Eastern Bulgaria, close to the hills of the Ludogorie. It's notable mostly for the ruins of the Roman city Abritus, as well as its disproportionately successful soccer team.
Veliki Preslav

Veliki Preslav is a small town in northeastern Bulgaria, not far from Shumen. It was the site of the second capital of medieval Bulgaria, and now the ruins are a national archeological reserve.
Tutrakan

Tutrakan is a small town in North-Eastern Bulgaria, a fishing port on the bank of the Danube. It's notable mostly as the site of a major battle in World War I and the resulting military cemetery.
Isperih

Isperih is a small town in Northeastern Bulgaria, notable mostly for the nearby ancient Thracian Tomb of Sveshtary, a UNESCO World Heritage site. There's also the ruins of a Thracian city and the grave of a Muslim mystic.
