is the fifth largest city in , the largest city in , and is in Songkhla Province on the Southern Gulf Coast. It's a popular tourist spot for Singaporeans, Indonesians, and especially Malaysians, as well as for Thais from neighbouring provinces.

is the provincial capital of Province. The city itself is surrounded by beaches such as Samila & Son Awn. With the beaches, some historical centres and nice green parks, this place is definitely a good place to recharge before heading to more lively .

, also spelled Patani in Malay, is the capital of a province of the same name on the Southern Gulf Coast. The population of the city is a little over 40,000 and is a mix of Malay, Thai and Chinese ethnic groups and Muslim and Buddhist religions.
