Nakhon Ratchasima

Nakhon Ratchasima, usually referred to as Khorat or, more commonly Korat, is the largest city in the Isaan region of Thailand. Its proximity to Bangkok makes it a good jumping-off point for travellers who are heading into further into the region.

Ubon Ratchathani is a city in Isaan, Thailand, in a province of the same name. Often referred to as simply Ubon, not to be confused with "Udon" to the north. Ubon lies 582 km from Bangkok and has Thailand's 13th largest city population.
