Tijuana is a city in , , just across the border from , , United States. The city has grown from a small border town with a salacious reputation during the Prohibition Era in the United States into a large, modern city with a sizable middle class.

The is a fashionable middle class Tijuana neighborhood known for its shopping, night clubs, and restaurants. It is dominated by the Paseo de los Héroes, a wide, divided and usually very busy street.

Downtown Tijuana is referred to as the . It includes Revolucion Avenue, which is the main tourist drag. For about 8 blocks, Revolucion is lined with shops, bars, and restaurants, many aimed at tourists.

Tijuana's is adjacent to the tourist zone in the , to the north, and just south of the border. This zone is primarily residential and also includes the local red light district.
