A trip to the north of Australia is never complete without visiting Kakadu National Park. Sometimes colloquially called as "Australia's national park", the park is in the Northern Territory, 171 km east of Darwin and the national park is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Arnhem Land

Arnhem Land is an isolated reserve that covers 91,000 km2 in the Top End of the Northern Territory. It's in the middle of Australia's northern coast and bounded by Kakadu National Park, the Arafura Sea and the Gulf of Carpentaria.

Katherine is a town of 9,643 in the Lower Top End of the Northern Territory, most renowned for its eye-catching gorge.
Tiwi Islands

The Tiwi Islands are part of the Northern Territory, Australia, 80 km to the north of Darwin adjoining the Timor Sea. They comprise Melville Island, Bathurst Island, and nine smaller uninhabited islands, with a combined area of 8,320 square kilometres.
Litchfield National Park

Litchfield National Park is in the Northern Territory, 69 km south of Darwin. The park's main attractions are the waterfalls and the clear pools of water they cascade into.
Pine Creek

Pine Creek is a city in Australia. It is located 90km north of Katherine at the junction of the Stuart and Kakadu Highways.
Adelaide River

Adelaide River is a township in the Top End of the Northern Territory that played an important role in the defence of Australia in World War II. At one point 30,000 Australian and the United States army soldiers were based around the town.
Gregory National Park

Judbarra / Gregory National Park is a national park in the Top End of the Northern Territory. It has an area of 13,004.12 km2, which is larger than the total area of all Ukrainian national parks combined, and it is the second largest national park in the Northern Territory, only behind Kakadu.
Humpty Doo
