Almindingen

Almindingen is a forest in the centre of the island of Bornholm in Denmark. The forest covers 3,800 hectares, making it Denmark's third largest.

Rytterknægten is the highest point on the Danish island of Bornholm at 162 metres above sea level. The bierg is situated on a wooded bedrock of gaiter formations in the middle of Almindingen forest. Aakirkeby is located about 5 kilometres to the southeast.

Gamleborg, also known as Gamleborg Viking Fortress, was the first fortification on the Danish island of Bornholm. Built around 750 AD, it was the seat of the kings of Bornholm during the Viking age and early Middle Ages.

Aakirkeby or Åkirkeby is a town in Denmark with a population of 2,091. It is the third largest town on the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. It was the main town of the now abolished Aakirkeby Municipality.

Aarsballe is a village located in the centre of the Danish island of Bornholm. It is at a crossroads formed by the main road from Rønne to Østerlars and a secondary road from Aakirkeby to Klemensker. As of 2009, it has a population of 86.
