Chiva is a municipality in the comarca of Hoya de Buñol in the Valencian Community, Spain. It has a population of 16,750 inhabitants. It is a Spanish-speaking town, in which Spanish has the legally recognised linguistic predominance compared to Valencian, co-official regional language of the Valencian Community. Chiva is situated 8 km southeast of Casica de Federico Mora.

With a population of 9,500, Buñol is the largest town in La Hoya, the mountainous western area of Valencia province. Every year 40,000 people or more gather in the town to throw over 115,000 kilograms of tomatoes at each other in the yearly Tomatina festival.
