Only its foundations remain, in the north-west quadrant of the circular outer bailey of the site, about 2 miles north of its 13th-century replacement, Salisbury Cathedral. Old Sarum Cathedral is situated 2,000 feet east of Stratford-sub-Castle Vineyard.
