Aghada Power Station

Aghada power station is a gas-fired power station located near the entrance of Cork Harbour in Aghada, County Cork. It was built at this location in order to use gas that had been discovered at the nearby Kinsale Head gas field, from which gas was extracted from 1978 until its depletion in 2020. Aghada Power Station is situated 1½ km northeast of Corkbeg FC.

Spike Island is an island of 103 acres in Cork Harbour, Ireland. Originally the site of a monastic settlement, the island is dominated by an 18th-century bastion fort now named Fort Mitchel. Spike Island is situated 3 km northwest of Corkbeg FC.
