The Fredericton Playhouse is a non-profit organization venue for hosting local talent acts and touring performers. It is named after William Maxwell "Max" Aitken, Lord Beaverbrook, who funded the building of the gallery and assembled the original collection. Beaverbrook Art Gallery is situated 120 metres east of The Playhouse.
