Royal Sovereign Lighthouse
Royal Sovereign lighthouse was a lighthouse marking the Royal Sovereign shoal, a sandbank 11 km offshore from Eastbourne. The structure's distinctive shape was easily recognised as the lighthouse tower is perched above a large platform supported by a single pillar rising out of the water.Photo: Oast House Archive, CC BY-SA 2.0.
