Two of the longest motorway corridors in Norway, E6 and E18, meet nearby Tusenfryd and the park is located on the west side near where they meet. Manufactured by Dutch manufacturer Vekoma, it opened on 1 May 2001 and features a drop of 32 metres, a maximum speed of 93 kilometres per hour, and a track length of 950 metres. Thundercoaster is situated 110 metres north of Pizzaverkstedet.
