The Hawthorne Works was a large factory complex of the Western Electric Company in Cicero, Illinois. In addition to industrial plants, several on-site community amenities were provided to workers. Hawthorne Works is situated 3,200 feet northeast of Town Hall Bowl.

Laramie is a former station on the Chicago Transit Authority's "L" system on the Douglas Branch while it was a branch of the West-Northwest Line.
