Higashi Hongan-ji, is one of two dominant sub-sects of Jōdo Shinshū in Japan and abroad, the other being Nishi Hongan-ji, the "Western Temple of the Original Vow". Higashi Hongan-ji is situated 110 metres south of Noh stage.
