The Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City is a planned city jointly developed by the governments of China and Singapore. Located in Binhai, the Eco-City was intentionally sited on "non-arable" land with a "water shortage" to the southeast of Tianjin's urban core, in order to prove that sustainable urban development could be realised even under challenging environmental conditions. Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City is situated 10 km northwest of 东疆亲海公园.
