The Karoo National Park is just west of Beaufort West in South Africa. This semi-desert area covers an area of 750 km². It is a sanctuary for herds of springbok, Oryx, zebra, buffalo, hartebeest, rhinoceros, eland, kudu, klipspringer, bat-eared foxes, black-backed jackal, ostriches, and lions.
