McMillin Bridge

The McMillin Bridge is a concrete half-through truss bridge crossing the Puyallup River, in Pierce County, Washington, built in 1934. The main span of the bridge is 170 feet long, which was the longest beam span or concrete truss in the US when it was built. McMillin Bridge is situated 1¼ miles northwest of The Trek at Tehaleh.

The Bridge for Kids is a proposed bridge across the Carbon River in Orting, Washington, about a mile upstream of where it joins the Puyallup River. It would provide an emergency evacuation route for school children to escape a future lahar flow from Mount Rainier, consisting of an up to 10-meter-high flood of mud, rock and boulders.
