Millinocket Seaplane Base is a privately owned, public-use seaplane base located on Ambajejus Lake in Piscataquis County, Maine, United States, seven nautical miles northwest of the central business district of Millinocket, a town in Penobscot County. Millinocket Seaplane Base is situated 1½ miles northeast of Loon Island.
Ambajejus Boom House

The Ambajejus Boom House is an historic logging facility in remote central Maine. Built in 1907 on a small island in Ambajejus Lake, it is the only surviving structure associated with the great logging drives that drove the economy of inland Maine for decades. Ambajejus Boom House is situated 2½ miles northwest of Loon Island.
