The Eiffel Tower is a lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower from 1887 to 1889. Eiffel Tower is situated 2 km northwest of Square de l’Oiseau lunaire.

Volontaires is a station on Line 12 of the Paris Métro located in the 15th arrondissement. The station is named after the nearby Rue des Volontaires. In 1822, locals transformed an existing dead end into an alley that led to the Rue de Vaugirard, hence its initial name of Ruelle Volontaire, with the "s" added later to pay homage to the soldiers of the French Revolution, the National Volunteers. Volontaires station is situated 200 metres east of Square de l’Oiseau lunaire.
