Sangsu station is a subway station on Seoul Subway Line 6. Along with Hongik University station on Line 2, it serves the area commonly called Hongdae, albeit geographically less convenient. Sangsu station is situated 260 metres southwest of Dormitory II.

Sogang University is a private Jesuit research university in Mapo, Seoul, South Korea. Sogang University was established on April 18, 1960 by the Society of Jesus, with the school being the oldest and only Jesuit institution of higher education in the country. Sogang University is situated 1½ km east of Dormitory II.
