Palau is a comune in the Province of Gallura North-East Sardinia, in the Italian region of Sardinia, about 220 kilometres north of Cagliari and about 30 kilometres northwest of Olbia.

Porto Pollo is an Italian località, in the comune of Palau, on the northern Sardinian shore in the province of Sassari. It is named after the natural harbour just east of the baia di levante, east of Isuledda. The bay is known for watersports. Porto Pollo is situated 3½ km west of Madonna che scioglie i nodi.
