Waikanae Park
Waikanae is a town on the Kāpiti Coast, 60 km north of the Wellington, New Zealand. The name is a Māori word meaning "waters" "of the grey mullet". The area surrounding the town is notable for its 2.4-kilometre-long beach, the Waikanae River estuary, the Kapiti Marine Reserve, and Kapiti Island, which lies 4 km offshore in the Tasman Sea.Places of Interest Nearby

Ngā Manu Nature Reserve is a nature and wildlife reserve in Waikanae, New Zealand, on the Kāpiti Coast of the North Island. In addition to offering a sanctuary for native birds and other animals, the 14 hectares reserve preserves the largest remnant of coastal lowland swamp forest on the Kāpiti Coast.
