The site is now owned by Foxie's Future CIO, a charity set up to save Foxlease for future generations following Girlguiding's decision to sell it in May 2023. The Knightwood Oak is a pedunculate oak and the largest, and perhaps most famous, oak tree in the New Forest, in southern England. It is also known as the Queen of the Forest. Knightwood Oak is situated 1 mile west of Rosemary Cottage.

Allum Green is a hamlet southwest of Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England. During the night of 5/6 September 1940 it was the scene of a Luftwaffe bombing raid, which resulted in the deaths of four British Army soldiers of the RAOC and 14 men were injured.
