Tilbury Fort, also known historically as the Thermitage Bulwark and the West Tilbury Blockhouse, is an artillery fort on the north bank of the River Thames in England. Tilbury Fort is situated 1¼ miles southwest of Block 51.

Tilbury is a port town on the north bank of the Thames in the borough of Thurrock in Essex, England. The town was established as separate settlement near East and West Tilbury and Tilbury Fort in the late 19th century, on land that was mainly part of the parish of Chadwell St Mary.

East Tilbury is a community in the borough of Thurrock in Essex, England. The community is in two main parts, being the older village near the banks of the River Thames, and a garden village to the north which was initially called Bataville, founded in the 1930s to serve the Bata shoe factory. East Tilbury is situated 1½ miles northeast of Block 51.
