Penrhyn Castle Railway Museum

The Penrhyn Castle Railway Museum was a museum of industrial railway equipment, located at Penrhyn Castle near Bangor in Wales. In the nineteenth century, Penrhyn Castle was the home of the Pennant family, owners of the Penrhyn slate quarry at Bethesda. Penrhyn Castle Railway Museum is situated 780 feet east of Walled Garden.

Bangor Cathedral is the cathedral church of Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales. It is dedicated to its founder, Saint Deiniol. The site of the present building of Bangor Cathedral has been in use as a place of Christian worship since the sixth century. Bangor Cathedral is situated 1¼ miles west of Walled Garden.

Port Penrhyn

Port Penrhyn is a harbour located just east of Bangor in north Wales at the confluence of the River Cegin with the Menai Strait. It was formerly of great importance as the main port for the export of slate from the Penrhyn Quarry, the largest slate quarry in the world at the end of the nineteenth century. Port Penrhyn is situated 1 mile northwest of Walled Garden.
